Reminiscences of Leominster Life

Leominster Museum is carrying out a two-year project to record peoples’ reminiscences and memories, and create a ‘living archive’ of oral history for the future.

Oral history can explain, excite, enrich, entertain and startle. It makes our heritage more understandable and enjoyable. But it is also history that is at risk; unless we collect and preserve them these memories will soon be lost forever.

The success of this project depends on as many people as possible becoming involved.

Can you help?

We are looking for people to interview. Everyone has a story to tell about their life that is unique to them, and we want to hear yours. We can arrange to meet at a time and place to suit you.

We also need volunteers to help with interviewing and transcribing. You do not need any experience or qualifications - we will provide all the specialist equipment and training you need.

To find out more contact the project officer at the address above or
